I’m beginning this review at 1:53am. The place is charming but bring your earplugs because our upstairs neighbor has been walking around for hours. You hear ever step. It is 5 or 6 steps for him to get from one side of the room to the other. I say him, because the steps are deliberate and forceful- landing heel first. It could be a woman. Who knows… I’m sure they have no idea they are keeping me awake.
My wife is sensitive to noise and already put her fancy earplugs in. I wear hearing aids and this is the first time I’ve ever wished my hearing was worse. I don’t have earplugs. Since I’m in a bad mood, I’ll also share that someone on the property is a smoker. Nobody has smoked in our room, but they have had 3 cigarettes since we started drying to sleep a few hours ago. And the smell comes through the walls/floor. The charming thing about smokers is they think stepping outside keeps the smell outside. I digress…
In the last 7 minutes, the marching seems to have stopped but it stopped a few other times so I’m not confident. It’s too bad because the place is lovely otherwise. We’re in room 1002 on the main floor. If you choose to stay here, maybe ask for a top floor but please tip-toe because whoever is stuck downstairs will hear EVERY step.
Update - it is now 2:04am and they seem to be settled. Fingers crossed!!!! Update #2 - must has been a bathroom break. More walking. Didn’t hear the toilet flush but as I mentioned, my hearing is horrible.
